A nine-year-old boy died by drowning in a rainwater pool in Chhat Ghat near Najafgarh drain where he went to take a bath with his friend.
Acording to the police on Wednesday, on August 11, a boy, studying in 5th class in Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) school in Baprola was reported missing since 12 pm in the afternoon from his house in Nangli Vihar area, under Ranhola police station.
“His father is a private driver and mother is a housewife. Accordingly a case under section 137(2)(kidnapping) of BNS is registered in this regard at Ranhola police station.
A search was made with the relatives but not found,” DCP Outer Jimmy Chiram stated.
He added that on August 12 in the morning at 8.17 am, a PCR call was received at Ranhola police station that the dead body of that boy was found in Chhat Ghat near Najafgarh drain and family persons had taken the body home.
“Dead body has been sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital for post mortem. No eternal injury was on the body. Crime team with forensic experts examined the spot,” Chiram said.
