Tata Steel's Jharia Division wins Mines Safety Award

The  Jharia Division of Tata Steel has bagged the second prize  the "Coal Belowground Small Category" at the 1st All India Level Mine Safety Award (MSA) 2024. The event took place on July 28, 2024, at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata.

 

The award was presented by  Prabhat Kumar, Director General of Mines Safety. Sanjay Rajoria, General Manager, Jharia Division, along with Vikash Kumar, Chief Sijua Group, and Sanjeev Kumar Thakur, Head Sijua Colliery, Jharia Division, Tata Steel, received the prestigious award during the ceremony.

 

The event was organised by the All India Mines Safety Association (AIMSA) under the aegis of the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS). The purpose of organising the event is to promote best practices and enhance safety in mining operations across India.
