T Shirts, wall clocks with Soren and Thakur's photos seized

Police have recovered wall clocks and T-shirts with photos of the Chief Minister and Minister Mithilesh Thakur  to lure voters in Ramakanda police station area of Garhwa assembly constituency. Police said that based on secret information, a raid was conducted in Chete and Pundag village l of Ramakanda from 1:30 am to 4 am  under the supervision of Circle Officer Anil Ravidas.

In the raid 95 T-shirts were recovered from the house of Kamlesh Yadav, a resident of Chete village and JMM leader. 101 wall clocks were recovered from the house of Thuran Yadav, a resident of Pundag village . These have the election symbol of the political party along with the photo of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Minister Mithilesh Thakur.

An FIR has been lodged at Ramakanda police station against Kamlesh Yadav and Thuran Yadav for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

Two days ago, wall clocks were being distributed in Udaipur of Ramakanda late in the evening to lure voters. After a complaint on the C Vigil app, Ranka CO Shivpujan Tiwari, who was part of the FST team, reached Udaipur at night and investigated the matter.  When the matter was found to be true in the investigation, a case of violation of Model Code of Conduct was registered against JMM leaders Mansoor Mian and Raman Vishwakarma in Ramakanda police station. Earlier, an FIR was also registered against Mukhiya's husband Rajkishore Yadav.

In this regard, Circle Officer Anil Ravidas said that FST is working diligently to ensure compliance of Model Code of Conduct in the area. In the raid conducted at night, wall clocks and T-shirts with the names of Chief Minister, Minister and election symbol have been recovered.
