Newly-elected Haryana Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Dr Krishan Chand Middha said that they were planning to hold a special class for new legislators so as to coach them how to speak in the Assembly. “A total of 40 new MLAs have come to Vidhan Sabha this time. We will not only give them adequate time to speak but also hold their coaching class so that they could know how to speak in the Vidhan Sabha,” said Middha while interacting with media persons in Chandigarh.
Among 40 first-time MLAs, 23 belong to the BJP, 13 Congress, two INLD and two were Independents. The BJP has elevated its first-time MLAs, including Shruti Choudhry, Arti Singh Rao, Gaurav Gautam and Arvind Sharma, to the Cabinet and State Ministers.
In regards to BJP's membership drive, Middha said that all MLAs would make the party members in their respective Assembly constituencies. “MLAs will not face any issue in completing the membership target. People are keen to join the BJP as they have known that the BJP works for the betterment of every section of society, hence they want to join the BJP,” he added.
