The Shravani Mela to be held in Jharkhand will be inaugurated on 21st July. It will be jointly inaugurated by three cabinet ministers of Jharkhand. Drinking Water Minister Mithilesh Thakur, Sports Minister Hafizul Hasan and Agriculture Minister Deepika Pandey Singh will inaugurate the Shravani Mela on Sunday at 9.30 am.

During this, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, JMM MP Nalin Soren, MLA Narayan Das, Randhir Singh and Badal Patralekh will be present. At the same time, 23 OP and 14 temporary traffic OBs have been made in Deoghar and Dumka for security. Apart from this, officials of other departments including electricity, road, transport, medical will also be deputed.

On the occasion of Shravani Mela 2024 starting from July 22, 14000 policemen including police officers will be deployed in Deoghar and Dumka districts for security and law and order. The order related to this has been issued by the Police Headquarters.

To ensure that the Shravani Mela is conducted peacefully, four assault groups of Jharkhand Jaguar along with Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) have been deployed. Policemen have been deployed in Dumka, Deoghar and Rail Dhanbad from July 20.

All the departments of the district administration are engaged on a war footing to prepare for the Shravani Mela starting from July 22. For this, 38 DSPs have been deployed in Deoghar, 10 DSPs in Dumka and two DSPs in Rail Dhanbad. Apart from this, 120 inspectors-sub inspectors have been deployed in Deoghar, while a total of 30 in Dumka and 08 in Rail Dhanbad, besides Jamadars- 730, Armed Force- 1240, Women Lathi Force and Women Lathi Force-9000, Home Guard- 2000, RAF- 5 Companies, NDRF- 3 Contingents, Bomb Squad- 4 Teams, Jharkhand Jaguar Assault Group- 4, Tear Gas Squad- 4, Fire Brigade- 4, Dog Squad- 3. have been deployed.
