Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that self-reliance has been the main strength and specialty of Indian villages. Despite thousands of years of slavery, Indian society has kept its cultural form and values ??intact only on the strength of its self-reliant villages. The seminar on “Atmnirbhar Panchayat-Samriddha Madhya Pradesh” will be effective and helpful in making Panchayats and villages economically more powerful and development-oriented.

Chief Minister Yadav said these things at the inauguration of the seminar organized by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department on “Atmnirbhar Panchayat Samriddha Madhya Pradesh” at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre. He inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Aidal Singh Kanshana, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Lakhan Patel, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development, Radha Singh and Additional Chief Secretary, Malay Srivastava were present.

Special efforts are being made to provide water to every house and irrigation to every field

In his address, Chief Minister Yadav said that Indian villages are excellent examples of discipline, restrained, life which is based on tradition and values. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen the system of self-reliant villages, rural life is becoming more convenient and the villagers are also getting ample opportunities for development. Jal Jeevan Mission is being run by Prime Minister Modi to provide tap water to every house and efforts are being made in the entire state according to the local conditions to arrange water for irrigation in every field. The results of Narmada Valley development in this direction are known to all. Rs 45 thousand crore each has been made available to Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh by Prime Minister Modi for the Ken-Betwa Link Project. Kalisindh-Parvati and Chambal Link Project activities have begun. With the increase in irrigation area in the state, farmers are also being economically empowered.

Grants to those rearing more than ten cows

Chief Minister Yadav said that along with farming, which is the basis of the rural economy, the state government is also giving special importance to animal husbandry. Funds will be provided by the state government for rearing old, unhealthy, handicapped, and destitute cattle. Kanji houses will be developed as cow shelters and the old cattle will be accomodated in Kanji houses. The amount of subsidy given to cows has also been increased, farmers who rear more than 10 cows will be provided a subsidy. Along with this, a system of providing bonus on milk, like crops will also be started. special policy is being made by the state government to encourage cow rearing.

Ayurvedic Kendras will be developed in the state

Chief Minister Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is full of natural beauty, it also has a rich wealth of Ayurvedic medicines. Ayurvedic Kendras will also be developed in the state. Every possible arrangement will be made to provide a market for the products of small, cottage industries and self-help groups of women in the state and to increase their income. Just as Prime Minister Modi perceived, Madhya Pradesh will move forward by connecting farmers, women, youth, and the poor and empowering them, Panchayats will also become self-reliant and add to the abundance of the state.

Discussion to be held on challenges faced by Panchayats and e-Panchayat system

Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Patel said that the seminar on “Atmarnibhar Panchayat Samriddha Madhya Pradesh” will prove to be a milestone in making the Panchayat Raj system more effective and powerful. He said that discussion will be held on making agriculture profitable, Green Madhya Pradesh, the impact of urbanization on Panchayats, implementation of centrally funded schemes, implementation of the PESA Act, and challenges faced by the Panchayats adjacent to the forest area, e-Panchayat system, financial discipline and transparency in the working system of the Panchayats, etc.
