Schools to remain closed on Monday at Ujjain in view of Mahakal Sawari

Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh and Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma informed the media persons here on Saturday about the processions of Lord Mahakal at the Administrative Complex Building.

Administrator, Mahakaleshwar Temple Mrinal Meena gave detailed information about the proper arrangements through a PowerPoint presentation.

Collector Singh said that hotels charging more than the prescribed rate list will be sealed. Along with this, action will also be taken to cancel their registration. He said that as per the wishes of the Chief Minister, a group of tribal artists will also participate in the procession of Baba Mahakal. He said that Baba Mahakal's procession will be broadcast live through two mobile chariots.

The specialty of this mobile chariot is that it will have a live box, due to which the live broadcast will be done uninterrupted. He said that in view of the processions of Shravan month, all the students from class 1 to class 12 studying in government and non-government schools under Ujjain Municipal Corporation will have a holiday on Monday.

Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma said that more than 2000 police force and volunteers will be deployed for the systematic organization of Baba Mahakal's ride. Verification of various streets falling on the ride route has been done. Physical verification action will also be taken from Sunday morning.

The entire ride route will be monitored through five drones. Double layer barricading has been done for smooth darshan of devotees and traffic management.

Along with this, a buffer zone has also been created to smoothen the traffic in less time. To maintain law and order, boundover and restrictive action is also being taken by checking suspicious people. He said that in-charge officers will be appointed in the parking system who will ensure that more than the prescribed fee is not taken from the devotees. Drivers will be checked through alcohol test device. Action will also be taken against e-rickshaw vehicles for violating the rules. Important suggestions were given by media representatives in the press conference, on which necessary action will be taken by the administration.
