Vice-Chairperson, National Sanitation workers’ Commission, Anjna Panwar took a review meeting on Friday on issues related to sanitation employees working in BHEL Bhopal.
On this occasion, SM Ramanathan, Executive Director, BHEL Bhopal, all General Managers, Liaison Officer (Liaison Officer Scheduled Caste), representatives of Scheduled Tribe Association, contractors /supervisors of contract labor organizations and representatives of sanitation workers were present.
Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, General Manager (SOM) gave brief information about BHEL Bhopal and gave a presentation on the products manufactured and capabilities of BHEL, Bhopal.
Panwar inquired about the facilities being provided to the sanitation workers of contract labor organizations working in BHEL, Bhopal. She highlighted the importance of the contribution made by sanitation workers in daily life. She mentioned the contribution of sanitation workers in the Swachh Bharat Mission started by the Honorable Prime Minister and also appreciated the valuable contribution of sanitation workers during the time of Corona.
Panwar discussed about the facilities being provided to the sanitation workers working through contract labor organizations in BHEL Bhopal. She also listened to the problems and urged BHEL Bhopal to make every effort to improve and increase the facilities being provided to the sanitation workers.
All the present members learned about the jurisdiction of the National Safai Karamcharis Commission and the provisions being made by the Commission in the interest of Safai Karamcharis. Arif Ahmed Siddiqui, Additional General Manager (HRM) co-ordinated the program.
