Chief Minister Mohan Yadav praised the 'Run for Unity' initiative led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling it a remarkable tribute to national unity, health and fitness on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
Alongside securing India's independence, Sardar Patel prioritized the nation's well-being. Despite differing views among various princely states, he unified the country, merging them into a single nation in under two years. The ‘Run for Unity,’ introduced by Prime Minister Modi, aims to honor and reestablish Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s noble and towering legacy in society.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the ‘Run for Unity’ programme organized at Tatya Tope Nagar Stadium to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man dedicated to the integrity of India. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered floral tributes at the portrait of Sardar Patel and administered the oath of national unity to those present in the programme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav flagged off the participants of the programme.
MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Rajoura, public representatives, officers and a large number of youth were present in the programme.
Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's pivotal role in uniting the nation. Despite differing views among the princely states, Patel unified them, giving India its present form. The "Run for Unity" event offers a platform to reaffirm our commitment to the country’s unity and integrity. MP V.D. Sharma noted that under Chief Minister Dr. Yadav's leadership, the state's cultural fabric is being enriched through events like Shastra Puja and Govardhan Puja alongside development and public welfare initiatives. Participants in the "Run for Unity" proceeded to TT Nagar Stadium, passing through Kamala Nehru School, New Market, and Roshanpura.
