In a significant move to empower rural women, the Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City inaugurated two tailoring and sewing training centers under the Saheli Center Project. The initiative aims to equip women with essential skills to become financially independent and create a strong identity in society.
The "Manju Tailoring and Sewing Training Center" was established in Kendadih village, while the "Aarti Tailoring and Sewing Training Center" was set up in Telmatia village. Aarti, who heads the Telmatia center, assured Rotary members that around 20 rural women would receive training at the center three days a week for two hours each session. The training is designed to economically empower these women, providing them with the tools to stand on their own feet.
Rotarian Anil Tripathi played a pivotal role in bringing this project to life, dedicating himself to establishing the centers and motivating the women involved. His efforts were instrumental in the success of the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Rotary Club President Rotarian Mahesh Kumar Gupta said, "This is just the beginning of our efforts to make rural women self-reliant. Our goal is to inspire them towards independence, and we will continue working for the welfare of society and humanity in the future."
