Ranchi Police arrest five drug smugglers

Ranchi Police have arrested five smugglers who were going to smuggle Doda. The police team under the leadership of Kotwali DySP, Prakash Soy took this action on Saturday.

The DySP had received information that five smugglers were going to smuggle large quantities of Doda from Khunti. After which Kotwali DySP, taking action along with the police of Sukhdevnagar police station, first arrested two smugglers from Sukhdevnagar police station area. The arrested smugglers told the police that their other associates were carrying Doda from Khunti. After which the police caught three smugglers near Bundu toll plaza. Seven quintals of Doda were recovered from him in a car.

Meanwhile, police solved the child stealing case which happened at Ranchi railway station. The child has been recovered from Cuttack, Odisha.

On the morning of May 12, nine-month-old Shubham Kumar was kidnapped by child thieves from Ranchi Railway Station. Taking action in this case, Ranchi Police team has arrested Radha Sahu, Amit Pal, Tikki, Nudrat Jahan and Suhana Begum. All these people are residents of Cuttack and Puri district of Odisha. The arrested accused have admitted that at the behest of Nudrat Jahan, women Radha Sahu, Amit Sanatan Pal and Tikki together had stolen the child for the greed of money and the child was sold for Rs 58 thousand.

Then Nudrat Jahan sold the said child to Suhana Begum. Since Suhana Begum and her sister-in-law did not have any children, the child was bought by them on May 13. The money was paid by Nudrat Jahan from her Phone Pay account to Amit Pal's Phone Pay account. Ranchi SSP Chandan Sinha gave this information in a press conference on Saturday.

Sinha said, “Police came to know that some child lifting gangs are active in Cuttack and they steal children from states like Bihar, Jharkhand and Bengal. When the criminals found in the raid conducted by Ranchi and Odisha police were interrogated strictly, they confessed that they had sold the child stolen from Ranchi station on May 12 in Khurda, Odisha. After interrogating in Cuttack, according to the statement of the criminals, the police went to Khurda, from where they recovered nine month old Shubham Kumar. As soon as they got the information about the discovery of the child, Shubham's parents left for Odisha.”
