Purification of Holy Kshipra river at pace in Ujjain: CM

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said Holy Kshipra River will witness purification as water of the Kanha River will stop merging into the Holy Kshipra. Through the Kanha Close Duct Project, the contaminated water of Kanha will stop meeting the Kshipra. The water of Kanha will be transported to the lower bank of Gambhir river, which will also be purified and surrounding farmers will get water for irrigation.

A barrage will be constructed worth Rs 600 crore, in Sewarkhedi and the water of Kshipra will be lifted to Silarkhedi and from there will be released again in Kshipra.

Dr. Yadav was addressing a gathering at the bhoomi pujan and inauguration of the Kanha Close Duct Project worth Rs. 817 crores organized near Shani Temple in village Dendiya of Ujjain. Dr. Yadav performed the bhoomi pujan of the Kanha Close Duct Project to be built at a cost of about Rs 598.66 crore. Apart from this, construction works worth about Rs 217 crores were done.

Yadav said that the construction of the Ujjain-Jaora four-lane via Nagda will be completed soon for Rs 5 thousand crores. Bhoomi pujan of Ujjain-Indore six lane will be performed soon. This development work will continue with the support of people. No stone will be left unturned to ensure development. He said that PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service will be launched on June 16, through which devotees will be able to reach pilgrimages like Mahakaleshwar, and Omkareshwar. Passengers will get air services to Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Indore, Singrauli, and Khajuraho through PM Shri Tourism Air Service from Ujjain.

Yadav said that continuous development work is going on in Ujjain and the residents here are getting many gifts in the form of development works. The Chief Minister said that eligible persons must get their Ayushman card made, so that they can avail free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. Through air ambulance service, a seriously ill person possessing an Ayushman card can be transported to cities like Mumbai and Delhi for treatment in a short time. This service will be completely free for Ayushman card holders. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that saving the life of a sick person is our priority.

All the temples and religious tourist places of the state including Ujjain and Indore divisions will be developed. Mahalok of Lord Mahakal was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Since then the condition of Ujjain has changed. Along with employing the people here, religious tourism has also got a boost. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the statues of Saptarishis situated in Mahakal Lok, which were damaged, are being rebuilt by carving solid stones by the artists in Ujjain itself. These will soon be restored to Mahakaal Lok. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the places which were witness to the historical moments of the times of Lord Ram and Krishna will be developed.

Yadav said that a factory for making statues will be established in Ujjain. The statues made here will reach every corner of the state and country. This will employ local people. Brass statues will be designed here.

Pooja material, clothes of God, and utensils for worship will also be prepared. Religious events have also been included in the curriculum of schools and colleges by the government.

It is noteworthy that to prevent the sewage water of Indore and Sanwer will be stopped from flowing into Kshipra river through Kanh river, a barrage will be constructed on Kanh river near Jamalpura village and the water will be diverted through a closed duct in Gambhir river downstream of Gambhir dam.
