In the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, more than 4000 applications remained pending in Bhopal within 2 months. These applications are for problems related to common people including CM helpline, court case, pension, water, ration card.

Now the emphasis is on settling these applications as soon as we get free from voting. Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh said, SDM, Tehsildar and other officers will sit in the offices and solve the problems.

The code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections came into effect from March 16. Voting took place on 7 May. During the elections, officers remained busy due to road shows, meetings and visits of big leaders, nomination process, training for voting and other work. This is the reason why pending cases increased. Here, the public hearing in the Collectorate also stopped. Due to this also people could not tell their problems to the officers. Although the code of conduct is not over yet, Collector Singh has asked all the officers to resolve the pending cases and problems by staying within the ambit of the code of conduct. A meeting of officers has also been held for this.

Wheat can be purchased at support price till May 20 in Bhopal. Till May 14, 20 lakh 2569 quintal tonnes of wheat has been purchased from 21 thousand 631 farmers. 1512.80 quintals of wheat were purchased on Tuesday. There is emphasis on purchasing wheat in the last 6 days.

More than one and a half thousand complaints are pending in Bhopal under CM Helpline. Of these, there are 1 thousand complaints on Level-1 alone.

The Mayor cannot conduct a hearing in the Mayor Helpline, but the staff can definitely resolve the complaints lodged. Currently 1500 complaints are pending in the Mayor Helpline. Due to the election code of conduct, its name is now Corporation Call Centre.

There are 222 Gram Panchayats in the district. There are many villages where there is water problem. Water tankers will be sent to villages where the problem is more severe. PHE has been asked to work for this. Closed tube wells will also be repaired.

People are also wandering about many things like Samagra ID, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate, Ayushman Card, Ration Card, Eligibility Slip, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Account. These will also be dealt with.

Officers will also focus on the status of payment in pension cases, revenue collection, wheat purchase, advance storage of fertilizers and seeds.

There are many cases pending in SDM-Tehsil court also. These are related to nomination, demarcation, division etc. Due to the officers being busy in elections, they could not attend the hearing. To settle these cases, officers will sit in their court at the scheduled time. So that they can be settled.
