Kolar police have arrested the main accused and his 5 accomplices who had kidnapped a youth from Sarvadharam area on December 6; accused wanted to force the victim's wife to live with the main accused.

On Sunday, the police arrested the accused and his 5 companions.

The incident took place in the Sarvadharma area of Kolar. In the afternoon, Hemraj Parte was kidnapped by the accused in car bearing vehicle registration number MP07ZM5735.

DCP Jitendra Singh Gurjar said, 'Hemraj's wife Pinky was friends with Golu Purvia, a resident of Biaora (Rajgarh), on Instagram. Both used to talk and when Pinky stopped talking, Golu threatened to kidnap her husband.'

The DCP said, 'On December 6, on receiving information about Hemraj's kidnapping, the police laid a siege and when the footage of CCTV cameras was searched, the Ertiga car was seen going towards Biaora. This information was given to the Biaora police.

The police tracked and stopped this car at Rajgarh crossing. Driver Brijmohan Lodha and Satish Sondhia were found in the car. During interrogation, they told that Hemraj was taken by Golu, his companions Satya Gurjar, Ravi Sondhia, Arun Sen, Ghanshyam Lodhi, Rahul Gurjar. They had left from  Biaora    in another car. All these 6 accused have been arrested. Both the cars used in the crime have also been seized.'

The accused told during interrogation that everything was done on the instructions of Golu.

The plan was to take Hemraj hostage and connect him to Pinky on video call. After this, in exchange for releasing her husband, they would force her to live with Golu. Even before this, the police became active. Scared of the continuous raids, they left Hemraj near  Biaora  bus stand on the evening of December 6.

Two years ago, some youths had murdered a youth in a dispute during Holika Dahan in Baghsewania. Hemraj was the accused in this case and remained absconding.
