On the martyrdom day of Martyr SP Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, an all-religion prayer meeting with floral tributes was organized by Martyr Ajay Kumar Singh Trust and Municipal Council Lohardaga at Ajay Udyan on Friday. Martyr SP Ajay Kumar Singh's father Ramashray Singh, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna, DDC Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Municipal Council Executive Officer Mukti Kindo etc. were mainly present in the program.
On the occasion, SP Haris Bin Zaman said that the then brave SP Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh, posted in Lohardaga, fought against the Naxalites in the forests of Peshrar, a highly Naxal affected area of Lohardaga district, to eliminate the Naxalites and maintain peace in the district on October 4, 2000. Municipal Council Executive Officer said that Ajay Udyan Park was earlier being run by Ajay Trust, but now it is running under the supervision of Municipal Council. He said that the park will be further developed to keep alive the story of sacrifice and bravery of Martyr Ajay Kumar Singh. CRPF Deputy Mantos Kumar and others also addressed the meeting.
