Bokaro, August 15, 2024 – The 78th Independence Day was marked by a vibrant cultural evening organized by the district administration at Bokaro Club on Thursday. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav, SP Pujya Prakash along with other senior officials including Vandana Shejwalkar, Prabhas Dutta, and others.
The cultural program featured spirited performances by young artists who filled the audience with a sense of patriotism through their dances on patriotic songs. Students from various schools across Bokaro, including St. Xavier's School, Chinmaya School, MGM Higher Secondary School, PAS Bokaro and others, showcased their talent through performances like "Jai Hind Ki Dharti," "Jal Jungle Zameen," "Vande Mataram," and "Namaste India." while students from DAV Sector 4 delivered a stirring rendition of "Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat". The performances were met with enthusiastic applause, leaving the audience captivated and in a patriotic spirit.
In addition to the cultural festivities, senior officials and staff who played a crucial role in the successful conduct of the 2024 Lok Sabha General Elections were honored with certificates of appreciation. The awards were presented by DC Vijaya Jadhav and other dignitaries.
The event saw the presence of several top officials, including Dr. S. Raj Michael, Inspector General of Police, Coal Sector and many others. Principals, teachers, students from various schools, and members of the public also attended the event.
