Palamu police foiled a plan of the TSPC's ultras to affect and derail the assembly election in Panki constituency where polling is due on November 13.
SP Reeshma Ramesan said the TSPC's ultras had a plan to affect the assembly election in Panki but the police aborted their plan. She declined to elaborate on what the planning was or how the TSPC's ultras were plotting to execute it.
Ramesan said "We got their planning but it can't be bought in the public domain."
Naxals have different ways to derail elections. They torch the polling office of the contestant. Naxals have done it in Palamu in the past where the BJP polling office was torched.
Attempts to kill or kidnap the contestants are also done by the naxals. Chhaterpur assembly constituency has seen such cases where naxals wanted to either kill or kidnap the contestants.
The last nefarious game of the naxals is to terrorize the voters. They beat up the supporters of such a candidate whose electoral fortune the naxals want to destroy or finish.
Ramesan refused to tick off any of these three plannings as mentioned above which the naxals invariably indulge in.
Naxals go for anti electoral things all for hefty sums of money that comes from the contestant against a contestant!
