Advocate Pradeep Kumar Singh, representing Dr. Ajoy Kumar, the Congress's likely candidate for the Jamshedpur East Assembly, purchased the nomination form for the upcoming elections. Dr. Kumar, who will officially file his nomination on October 24, expressed confidence that the people of Jamshedpur East are ready to bring about change through their votes.
Dr. Ajoy Kumar addressed the current state of affairs in Jamshedpur East, criticizing the area's 25-year-long rule by a single party. He remarked that instead of progress, the constituency has witnessed a rise in fear, corruption, and terror. He further lamented that even vulnerable groups like street hawkers have not been spared from this oppressive regime.
He pointed out that the people of Jamshedpur East had once placed their hopes in a rebel BJP candidate, seeking relief from the oppressive conditions. However, they were again left disappointed and betrayed. "The people have fallen from the sky, only to be stuck on a date palm," Dr. Kumar said, emphasizing the continued plight of the residents.
Dr. Kumar highlighted the lack of basic amenities in the region, citing that access to clean drinking water remains a distant dream for many, and that many residents still rely on the riverbank for sanitation. He noted that in 25 years, no college or new industry had been established, and existing companies had either shut down or relocated to Bengal. The closed cable company stands as a stark reminder of missed opportunities for the area.
He stressed that the electorate has wisened up and is ready to hold those responsible accountable. "The public has made up its mind," he said, adding that voters will demand answers for the past 25 years of neglect. Dr. Ajoy Kumar remains optimistic that the people of Jamshedpur East will make an informed decision in the upcoming elections.
