Nomination begins in Lohardaga with sale of papers

District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna, while addressing the press, today said that notification regarding Assembly General Elections 2024 has been issued. Sale of nomination papers and nominations started from Friday. The last date to enroll is October 25. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on October 28. The last date for withdrawal of names will be 30th October. Voting will take place on November 13. Counting of votes will take place on November 23. 

The DC said that no entry can be removed or modified from the voter list. Rules under Section 127 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 will apply to printing presses. There will be a ban on carrying licensed weapons. Prohibitory orders will continue under Section 163 of the Civil Defense Code. The expenditure incurred by political parties will be audited from the date of announcement of elections till the end of the elections. Rules will apply on movement of cash during elections. An expenditure of up to Rs 40 lakh has been fixed for each candidate in the Assembly elections 2024. For this, expenditure monitoring team has been formed. 

A copy at the rate fixed by the district and a guide to the model code of conduct for easy reference has been made available to all recognized political parties. A control room has been established whose toll free number is 1950. A team has been formed to monitor C-Vigil so that monitoring can be done 24 hours. Electoral and Assistant Electoral Officer 72-Electoral Officer for Lohardaga Assembly Constituency is Amit Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer, Lohardaga. Along with them are Assistant Electoral Officer Sadar Block Circle Officer Ashutosh Kumar, Kisko Block Circle Officer Ajay Kumar and Kudu Block Circle Officer Madhushree Mishra. 69-Electoral officer for Bishunpur (Part) assembly constituency is Rajeev Kumar, Land Reforms Deputy Collector, Gumla. Assistant Returning Officer Sujata Kujur, Land Reforms Deputy Collector Lohardaga, Dinesh Kumar, Block Development Officer Ghaghra and Ranjit Kumar Singh Block Development Officer Bishunpur.
