Former minister, member of the coordination committee of the Jharkhand government and working president of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, Bandhu Tirkey has said that there can never be any compromise on issues related to tribals under any circumstances. Tirkey said that serious tribal organizations and like-minded people and organizations will not only fight on the burning problems of the tribals but will definitely win.
Tirkey said that a special draft related to the burning issues, problems and context of the tribals and their current conditions will be launched on January 24 for the Tribal Unity Maharally organized by the Adivasi Jan Adhikar Manch on 4th February 2024. It will be released by the organizers of this Maharally on the stage of the historic Morhabadi Maidan.
He said that the chief guest at this function will be the National President of Tribal Congress, Shivajirao Moghe. Along with this, senior Gujarat Congress leader and former Union Minister Narayan Rathwa and many other dignitaries have ensured their presence in the release ceremony.
Tirkey said that the preparations for the Maharally are in the final stages and to welcome the people participating in it, Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Siddho Kanhu, Veer Budhu Bhagat, Jaipal Singh Munda, Kartik Oraon, Dr. Ramdayal Munda, Bonifus Lakra, Jhalo- Phulo, Singi Dai, Nilambar-Pitamber, Devendra Manjhi, Sarna Ratna Virendra Bhagat, Sarna Ratna Ato Oraon, Dr. Karma Oraon, Praveen Oraon, Sarna Ratna religious guru Jaipal Oraon and Rakhe Oraon, including Jharkhand's freedom fighters, brave agitators and people of Jharkhand. Toran gate will be constructed in the name of 23 personalities.
The senior Congress leader criticized that the Tribal Unity Maharally organized on February 4 by many organizations, leaders and political parties is being promoted as a rally of only Christian tribals, which is completely wrong. He said that except BJP, RSS and its associated organizations, this is a joint grand rally of secular, like-minded people of the state as well as very serious people, political parties and organizations on the issue of tribals and everyone is participating in it without any discrimination. . He said that Sarna Code is the demand of all the tribals but the issue is being diverted and instigated by Bharatiya Janata Party, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and right wing organizations as well as many leaders only from the election point of view.
Tirkey said that whoever knows him knows very well that throughout his political career he has done politics without any discrimination but has always been vocal on the issue of tribals and there can be no compromise there. Along with protecting Jharkhand's locality, PESA, Fifth Schedule, CNT Act, SPT, water, forest and land, he has never made any compromise on any tribal and indigenous issue and will never do so. He said that the 32 tribal tribes in the state, as well as all the people dedicated to the tribal interests, should come together in unity, vocally put forward the Sarna Code and their problems and do their best to win.
