The National Institute for Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan) will celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) on December 3, 2024. This year’s theme is "Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future."
Key events include an Awareness Rally on December 3 at 9:00 a.m., along with debates, quizzes, poster-making, sports competitions, and cultural programs on December 2 and 3. A cricket match between Divyangjan teams from Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal is also scheduled.
Dr. Lalit Narayan, Director of the institute, emphasized the importance of these events in creating an inclusive environment and showcasing the talents of persons with disabilities.
