The Akshaya Patra Foundation, a leading non-profit organization and the implementing partner of the PM POSHAN program, has announced the continued support from Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust, a dedicated ally in the fight against child hunger and educational inequality. This collaboration, now in its fifth year, has made a significant impact on thousands of lives, ensuring that students in underprivileged regions receive nutritious meals essential for their academic and physical development.
The Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust has been generously supporting the foundation’s program for over the past five years. This sustained funding has been pivotal in supporting large-scale meal programs across various locations, including the new initiatives in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) and Silvassa (Dadra Nagar Haveli) for the fiscal year 2024-25.
This year, the Trust’s commitment will reach the children of Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) and Silvassa (Dadra and Nagar Haveli), with an especially significant contribution towards our new initiatives in Hazaribagh. Since 2018, the Naraindas Morbai Budhrani Trust has been a cornerstone supporter of our school noon meal programs. In this fiscal year alone, their support will provide over mid-day meals to 3,554 children from government and government-aided schools in Silvassa. Furthermore, the Trust has expanded its support to Hazaribagh, where they will support over mid-day meals to 2,969 children from government and government aided schools, ensuring that the vital need for nutritious meals is met for these [RP1] children.
