Tuesday, 08 October 2024 | Staff Reporter | BHOPAL

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that education, health, safety, and self-reliance of women and daughters are on top priority of the state government. For the empowerment of women, many schemes have been implemented effectively in the state and women have been made self-reliant.

The 'Madhya Pradesh Model' of women empowerment is unique in the country, inspired by which other states have also followed the women's welfare schemes of Madhya Pradesh and implemented them in their states.

Chief Minister Yadav said that whether it is about providing a permanent roof to every family through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or providing freedom from open defecation by building toilets in every house, be it providing pure drinking water to people through Nal-Jal Yojana or resolving to make the kitchen smoke-free through the Ujjwala Yojana, all these schemes have been effectively implemented in the state. Apart from this, we have not only promoted the self-employment of women but also made them Lakhpati Didis to make them self-reliant, by providing financial support to self-help groups. Today the products manufactured by the women of the group are being sold in the markets. Besides, they are also being sold through online marketing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our government is working diligently to fulfill every resolve of women's empowerment. The state government has increased the budget of the Women and Child Development Department by 81 percent and made a provision of Rs 26 thousand 560 crore in the current financial year 2024-25.

In this, a provision of more than Rs 18 thousand 984 crore has been made for Ladli Behena Yojana. He said that more than one crore 25 lakh Ladli Behnas of the state are benefiting from this scheme. The state government will leave no stone unturned to protect their honor and self-respect.
