Monsoon will enter Jharkhand from West Bengal via Santhal Pargana but now monsoon will arrive two days late. The monsoon is likely to enter Jharkhand between June 16 and June 17.

There are chances of pre-monsoon rain before June 16 June 17. The department has also expressed the possibility that the later the monsoon enters in June, the more likely it is to extend till September-October.

On the other hand, light rain is falling in many districts of Jharkhand, while heat wave conditions prevail in some places. In the last 24 hours, 40.3 mm of rain has been recorded in Rajdah in Dhanbad and 11 mm in Jamshedpur, while people are suffering due to heat waves in Palamu-Garhwa.

Director of Meteorological Center Ranchi, Abhishek Anand has said that a cyclonic circulation has formed from north-west Madhya Pradesh, which is moving towards West Bengal via Jharkhand. Due to this, light clouds may remain in the southern and central parts of the state after noon on June 7. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of Ranchi from 11 to 13 June.
