Modi to hold rally to drum up support for BJP picks

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his second rally in the national Capital on Wednesday at Dwarka in southwest Delhi in support of BJP candidates. With just two day left for Delhi polls on  on May 25, PM Modi will be campaigning for his party’s four candidates.

He will address a public gathering at DDA Park at Dwarka sector-14, opposite Vegas Mall, at 6:00 pm to support his party’s West Delhi’s candidate Kamaljeet Sehrawat, New Delhi candidate Bansuri Swaraj, North West reserved seat’s candidate Yogendra Chandolia and South Delhi candidate Ramvir Singh Bidhuri. Earlier, on Saturday, he addressed a public gathering for the first time in North East Delhi’s Kartar Nagar for three BJP candidates, which includes Chandni Chowk’s Praveen Khandelwal, North East Delhi’s Manoj Tiwari and East Delhi’s Manoj Tiwari.

In view of PM Modi’s rally, the traffic police has issued an advisory regarding traffic diversions and asked commuters to avoid certain roads. According to the advisory by traffic police, large number of people are expected to attend this rally which may affect the traffic on surrounding roads.

It further stated that the traffic will be diverted from ISKON Chowk, Om Apartment Chowk, DXR T-point on Golf Course Road, Dwarka Mor, Kargil Chowk, Rajpuri crossing, etc. The police asked people to avoid Dwarka road number 201, NSUT T-point to Vegas Mall up to Peepal Chowk, Road number 205 and road number 210.

People going to bus stand, railway stations and airports are advised to carefully plan their travel. Motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections, the advisory said.
