Ministers Mithilesh and Deepika inaugurates Shravani Mela 2024

Shravani Mela 2024 to be held in Deoghar, Jharkhand started today on Sunday. Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Thakur and Agriculture Minister Deepika Pandey jointly inaugurated the Shravani Mela in a traditional manner.

Earlier, 11 Vedic priests worshiped Baba Baidyanath. After this, Dumma Kanwaria Path Shravani Mela was formally inaugurated.

At the beginning of the program, Deoghar DC Vishal Sagar welcomed and thanked all the ministers, guests and devotees with a welcome speech.

Sagar told what facilities have been provided by the administration for the devotees. He said that as per the instructions of the state government, VIP, VVIP and out of term darshan will be completely closed during the state Shravani Mela.

Addressing the inauguration program, Thakur said that the holy Shravani Mela has started from today. “Complete care will be taken of the convenience and safety of the Kanwariyas. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the district administration is committed to provide every possible facility to the devotees in the world famous Shravani Mela. Along with the State Government and the district administration, everyone should understand their responsibilities. Let us walk together and perform our sacred duty,” he added.

The Minister said that Deoghar is ready to welcome all the Kanwariyas coming to Babadham with its grand form. He said that the number of devotees is likely to double this year as compared to last year. In such a situation, everyone should organize the fair together, so that the devotees coming here get a good experience and leave for their destination, he added.

On the occasion Deepika said that Shravani Mela has a special identity not only in the State but also in the Country. “Our aim is that every facility should be available to the devotees coming to Devghar and they should be allowed to offer water easily. Special care should be taken so that the Kanwarias do not face any kind of problem,” she added.

The Minister instructed the officers and soldiers deployed in the fair to take special care of the Kanwarias.

On the occasion, MLA Narayan Das welcomed everyone and said that it is the wish of all of us that the devotees coming to Babadham in the State Shravani Mela should get better facilities.

On the occasion, Tourism Secretary Manoj Kumar, 20-point vice-president Munnam Sanjay, Superintendent of Police Ajit Peter Dungdug, Sub-divisional Officer Deoghar Sagari Baral, Sub-divisional Officer Madhupur Ashish Aggarwal, District Nazarat Sub-Collector Shailesh Kumar, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Kumar Vidyarthi, Assistant Public Relations Officer Rohit Kumar Vidyarthi, officers of the concerned department, public representatives and workers etc. were present.
