Mercury dips as rains lash all parts of State

The weather of the State Capital has become pleasant as the temperature in the city came down to 25 degrees Celsius. Torrential rains brought relief to the people from the heat.

Dark clouds have been looming in the sky since morning. Till the time of writing the news, light and moderate rains are happening in different parts of the state including Ranchi. The weather center located in Ranchi has predicted that the monsoon will remain active for the next two-three days. Due to this, it will keep raining in different parts of the State.

The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in many parts of the State from Tuesday till July 7. The Department has also predicted heavy rains in the northern and adjacent central parts of the State on Tuesday and on Wednesday. The Department has not issued any kind of alert since July 4. Monsoon is still active in the State.

It seems as if the monsoon has turned away from Jharkhand. The month of July has arrived and till now there has been no heavy rain. In the last nine years, the last month of June received the least rainfall. This time there was not a single day of heavy rain in the monsoon month of June.

This time the monsoon rained only 39 percent in June. The state received 73.5 mm of rain during this period. This time the monsoon has lagged behind the weak monsoon of 2019 during June. This time the percentage of deficit in rain has increased to 61 percent.
