South East Zone Railway Co-operative Society Urban Bank elections have concluded with a decisive performance by both Men's Congress and Men's Union candidates. The counting of votes, which wrapped up Thursday evening, revealed significant victories for both factions in a highly competitive contest.

In Tatanagar, the Men's Congress secured notable wins with five candidates emerging victorious. The triumphant Congress candidates include Ghanshyam Chaudhary from Engineering, Gautam Kumar from Operations, Sandeep Daniel Chaudhary from Commerce, Darshan Mukhi from Loco Shed, and Mithlesh Dubey from the Electrical General Department. Additionally, DN Behera from Alarsa and Rajiv Ranjan from Adityapur-Sini were declared winners, along with Guard Dharmendra Kumar.

Conversely, the Men's Union also achieved impressive results, with seven candidates winning in various categories. The victorious Union candidates include Mundrika Prasad and Rajnish Kumar from Loco Shed, Manbodh from Engineering, Kamal from Medical, Gautam Vishwas from Operations, and Arun Srivastava from Adityapur.

This year's elections were conducted jointly for the South East Zone, South East Central Zone, and East Coast Zone, a process mandated by the Kolkata High Court's order following a gap since 2010. The official announcement of the final results is expected on July 30.

In reaction to the results, Shashi Mishra, Divisional Convenor of the South East Railway Men's Congress, praised the outcome, noting that their campaign focused on addressing corruption within the Urban Bank. Despite restrictions on campaigning due to court orders, many Congress candidates secured victories by substantial margins.

On the other hand, MK Singh, Divisional Convenor of the Men's Union, asserted that their candidates achieved the highest number of wins across the division. The counting process will continue on Friday for departments including Signal and Telecom, potentially shifting the final tally.

The election results are as follows: Sudeep Daniel Chaudhary won from Tatanagar Commercial, DN Behera and Mukesh Prasad from Running, Dharmendra Kumar from Guard, Mithlesh Kumar Dubey from Electrical General, Darshan Mukhi from Loco, Ghanshyam Chaudhary and Manmohan from Engineering, Dharmendra Kumar from Operating, Mundrika Prasad from OBC Cell, Rajnish Kumar as an Independent, Kamal from Medical, and Shishir Sinku from Carriage and Wagon (SCST Reserved).
