Calling for quicker turnaround times in the resolution of civic complaints received on the mayoral helpline, Mayor Malti Rai on Tuesday instructed officials to take immediate action on pending grievances.
Rai was conducting a weekly review of the Mayor's Helpline when she expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the initiative and observed that citizens no longer need to visit BMC offices in search of solutions for their civic problems.The helpline assists women in filing complaints regarding any civic issues they face.
The mayor reviews the complaints every Tuesday and issues necessary instructions to officials for the speedy resolution of grievances.Rai also spoke with several complainants over the phone and received feedback, with citizens expressing gratitude for the prompt resolution of their issues.This month alone, a total of 2,870 complaints were recorded by the helpline; of these, 1,817 were resolved satisfactorily, while action is yet to conclude in the remaining cases.
