Two optometrists of Seva Sadan Eye Hospital have secured first and second position respectively in the selection for the post of Ophthalmic Assistant. National Health Mission's M.P. The common merit list of the competitive examination conducted by the unit in February 2024 has been released on Friday. In this, Ms. Maya Gyanchandani of Sesnechi has secured first position and Ms. Pritam Kaur has secured second position. The names of a total of 244 candidates are included in the selection list, out of which 14 candidates from Sesanechi alone have achieved success.

Ophthalmic assistants and optometrists play an important role in the early detection of visual impairment and eye diseases. The accurate eye care diagnosis helps the surgeon to treat the patient in right direction.

These two optometrists of Sewa Sadan are performing preliminary examination of  ailing patients for the last several years. Other Twelve eye Ophthalmic assistants of Sewa Sadan whose names are also included in the common merit list of NHM. Their names are Eash Kumar Chaubey, Tammana Srivastava, Saurabh Gupta, Sarika Rajput, Nandram Sahu, Alfia Islam, Savita Jatav, Balram Singh Kurmi, Arjun Meena, Krishnakant Srivastava, Pushpraj Arya and Siddharth Kumar Patel. Sant Siddh Bhau, Chairman of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital Trust, has said that these employees have served a large number of eye patients in SSEH.
