State BJP president and former chief minister Babulal Marandi today slammed the Opposition INDIA Bloc’s rally at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday, saying it is not a “save democracy” meeting as projected but a “save family” and “hide corruption” rally.
Marandi, targeting the leaders who attended the rally, said that all the corrupt people of the country are justifying corruption by holding a rally today. Marandi said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi says remove corruption, leaders of India alliance say save the corrupt.”
In a massive show of strength ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, INDIA bloc leaders held a "Loktantra Bachao" (save democracy) rally in the backdrop of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren's arrest in alleged money laundering cases. The rally was attended by Congress Chief M Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, RJD Tejashwi Yadav, Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, former CM Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren, Delhi CM wife Anita Kejriwal among others.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren and Kalpana Soren said that all the Opposition parties are together and are against 'BJP's dictatorship.
Marandi said that no matter how much the leaders of Indi alliance attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are not going to back down against corruption. Those who loot the public's hard-earned money will have to return it every penny. This is Modi's guarantee.
He said that Indi Thugbandhan is a procession of scammers who only want to loot the country. They want to keep running the scam and not even take legal action.
He said that they talk about democracy. But in democracy, law is equal for everyone. Whereas the arrogant alliance wants special law for them.
He said that there is looting of water, forest and land in Jharkhand. People are not getting sand even for the Prime Minister's residence. Sand is being sent to UP Bihar through illegal smuggling. There is looting of stones. Corruption worth more than Rs 1000 crore exposed in one district. Even the jobs of the unemployed were given away.
Referring to the actions of the leaders of Indi Thugbandhan, he said that the daily routine of all of them includes abusing Modi ji, defaming the country, abusing Sanatan, ignoring the investigating agencies, if action is taken then reach the court, court reprimand. If you apply it to tribal people somewhere else then play victim card of some, call it a threat to democracy, mislead the public, gather all the thieves, speak loudly, beat your chest and say save corruption.
He said that today the inveterate corrupt people want to show themselves fighting against corruption.
He said that if the investigating agencies are harassing them then why are Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh not getting bail, why is the court not granting bail to Hemant Soren.
He said that the Delhi High Court has upheld the income tax recovery. Congress party should tell whether it has evaded tax or not, Congress should tell whether the income tax notice is right or wrong, why Congress did not file income tax.
He said that Congress has committed scams ranging from heaven to hell. Their top leadership is out on bail in the Rs 5000 crore scam. AAP leaders who pretended to be fighting against corruption are not ready to leave the chair today, RJD is immersed in corruption from head to toe, the very foundation of JMM is based on corruption. Former Chief Minister Hemant Soren has reached jail. Trinamool is a den of manipulation, cut money and hafta extortion. He said that the people of the country are aware of the truth of Indi Thugbandhan and will give a befitting reply when the time comes.
