Bilkharia police have arrested a man on the charge of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old woman by taking lewd photographs; the accused had gone to provide a mobile phone and SIM card during which he committed the crime.
Police said that the victim operates a shop in the area and on October 25 accused Ravi Thakur came to provide her mobile phone and SIM card during which Thakur took indecent photographs.
Using the photographs accused raped the victim and threatened her not to reveal the incident and escaped the spot.
The accused continued to sexually exploit the victim using the photographs. The victim was forced to face the atrocities by the accused.
After being continuously harassed by the accused victim lodged a complaint with Bilkharia police where a case was registered.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation police registered a case under relevant sections.
The accused lives in the same locality and was aware of the whereabouts of the victim and her daily routine.
