A joint investigation was conducted on Friday by Police Crime Branch, Food Department, Indore at 38-B Khizravad Colony, Khajrana, Indore.
On the spot, Shakir Shah transfers gas from a machine on the third floor of a three-storey narrow house in a dense residential area, in which 5 families live on rent, and fills gas from 14.2 kg cylinders to 19 kg commercial and 5 kg/3 kg cylinders. .
On spot, domestic category 14.2 kg capacity total 30 nos. empty, 19 kg capacity commercial 15 nos. empty, 5kg commercial hp gas company's 8 nos., 3kg capacity local 43 nos filled, total 96 gas cylinders, 1 motorized gas transfer machine, 5 pieces of gas transfer pipes, seal caps of different gas companies and 1 weighing fork were found kept.
Shakir Shah, who refilled the gas at the spot, was told to take it from a person named Rajesh Jaiswal, Shree Annapurna HP Gas Agency Maxi Dewaske Hawker and to sell commercial 19kg cylinders to HPCL Commercial Shivanand Gas Agency Futikothi.
It was also told that the said residential house is in the name of his wife Farzana Bi.
On the spot, all the gas cylinders along with gas transfer machine, pipe, seal cap and weighing fork were seized as per the seizure sheet and handed over to the gas agency.
At another place, investigation was conducted by the joint team at 70-B Tanjim Nagar Poultry Center Khajrana, Indore.
On the spot, Athar Shaikh and Asad Shaikh were found to be doing the business of gas transfer from 14.2 kg cylinders to 19 kg capacity commercial gas cylinders by transferring gas from two electric machines in two rooms inside the house in a dense residential area.
On the spot, a total of 60 pieces of domestic category of 14.2 kg capacity were filled and 20 pieces of empty, 49 pieces of commercial category of 19 kg capacity were empty, 2 gas transfer electric machines, 8 pieces of gas transfer pipe, 22 metal gas transfer devices (Banshee). , 2 electric weighing scales were found kept.
On the spot, all the gas cylinders along with gas transfer machine, pipes, weighing scale were seized as per the seizure sheet and handed over to the gas agency. Akhtar Shaikh was also told to take the domestic cylinder from Rajesh Jaiswal and sell it to Shivanand Agency.
Shivanand Gas Agency is also being investigated by the investigation team. The department is also investigating as to which agencies the said accused used to procure gas cylinders through and do illegal business.
In both the cases, a case was registered under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act against Shakir Shah, Athar Shaikh, Asad Shaikh, Rajesh Jaiswal for illegal storage, sale and refilling of gas cylinders in residential areas.
