Delhi BJP on Friday met the Chief Election Commissioner and submitted a detailed letter with 5,000 pages of evidence objecting to lakhs of illegal Rohingya, Bangladeshi, duplicate voters and non-existent address voters alongwith thousands of dead voters.
A Delhi BJP delegation led by its President Virendra Sachdeva on Friday met the CEC and other two Election Commissioners to lodge a protest against illusion of lakhs of illegal infiltrator Rohingyas and Bangladeshi origin demanded that Election Commission of India look into their complaint on legal merits on priority to ensure a true and transparent election for Delhi Assembly.
Delhi BJP President told ECI through the three Commissioners present that it's surprising that new voter registration of lakhs of voters happens everytime between the period of conclusion of Lok Sabha elections and start of assembly elections in Delhi which is abnormally higher than in the yearly voter summary revision exercise.
“On the strength of an August 2024 circular of ECI the BJP BLAs and other workers have been going across all 70 assembly constituencies and have found the existence of lacs of Bangladeshi or Rohingya origin infiltrators registered as voters in Delhi apart from duplicate voters, non-existent address voters. Every constituency in Delhi has a huge number of dead or permanently shifted voters in Delhi,” he said.
He requested the ECI to run a campaign against enrolment of illegal voters as well as against illegal voting. Sachdeva urged ECI to run a radio and print media campaign dissuading and warning the bogus voters with imprisonment.
Addressing the media, he asserted that they will not let infiltrators and bogus voters to vote. New Delhi BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj in her legal submission kept before the ECI a list of strong 18 evidences showing how Rohingya and Bangladeshi origin infiltrators stand registered and cited pages from voter lists of several assembly constituencies across the city where even on same page a single person with same family details and address stands repeatedly registered as voter with different EPIC.
She cited atleast six cases with evidence from different assemblies where voters of a particular community stand registered on non-existent addresses and cases where the same family of voters of one community stand registered in more than one assembly constituencies.
“It's sad that BLO's are not performing their sacred duty of deleting dead voters & voters objected to even after verification of evidence,” she said. Swaraj also submitted video evidence of bogus voter registration.
Union Minister Harsh Malhotra drew the attention.of the ECI to the false narrative being created by the Government of Delhi that BJP is objecting to voters of Indian origin in voter list while the truth is that BJP is objecting to infiltrators and bogus address voters.
