A pan-India day-long shutdown called by farmers on February 16 to protest against three black farm laws elicited a lukewarm response in Chhattisgarh.
The 'bandh' was supported by the Congress which accused the Modi government of failing to keep the promises made to the farmers including providing them MSP.
Members of the Congress frontal organizations were seen urging traders to close their shops in some places in Raipur.
Shops and other businesses remained opened in most areas across the state.
In Bilaspur, the protest evoked a mixed response as some shops remained closed. The Congress also staged a sit-in in Bilaspur.
