Several areas submerged after heavy rainfall was witnessed in Bhopal after 3 pm. In about an hour, 38 mm i.e., 1.5 inches of rainfall was recorded.
In the first half an hour, heavy rain was witnessed and the roads in many areas including MP Nagar, Karond were waterlogged. Water was also filled at Alpana Tiraha. This caused a traffic jam.
Water filled in houses and shops in Harshvardhan Nagar, Jahangirabad, Tulsi Nagar as well. Due to heavy rain and storm, a tree also fell on Shyamala Hills Road. At the same time, there is a jam on Hamidia Road for about 2 hours.
Due to heavy rain on Safia College Road, the road was filled with so much water that cupboards, drums started floating in the water. Shopkeepers somehow collected their goods. Water filled up to two feet here. Many shops were flooded. Due to today's rain, the water level in Bada Talab has increased to 1660 ft. At the same time, the Kolans river flowed 3 and a half ft above the level.
The primary school of Nathu Barkheda was also flooded. Water reached the classrooms. This troubled the students and teachers a lot. Earlier on Thursday afternoon, the Kolans river flowed 3 feet above the level. Its water is coming into the big pond. Due to which the level is increasing.
According to the Meteorological Department, a total of 420 mm i.e., 16.5 inches of water has fallen in Bhopal this season, which is 35% of the quota of rain. Here, after the intense humidity, the weather changed at 3 pm and heavy rain started. The road at MP Nagar intersection was filled with water up to one and a half feet. Light rain continues in the evening as well.

Waterlogging also occurred in Harshvardhan Nagar in Ward-30. Many houses were flooded here. Roads also became ponds in many areas like Jahangirabad, Karond.

In Sant Hirdaram Nagar, the area behind Shikhar Hotel near Sehore Naka was flooded with one to two feet of water.
