Lohardaga ready for safe and peaceful voting: DC

District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna said that the district administration is fully prepared for peaceful and safe voting. On Tuesday, all the polling parties have been sent safely to conduct the voting. Voting will be held in 48 booths of 72-Lohardaga (ST) assembly constituency from 7 am to 4 pm and in 276 polling stations from 7 am to 5 pm. 69- Voting will be held in 83 polling stations of Bishunpur (Ansh) from 7 am to 5 pm and in 21 polling stations from 7 am to 4 pm. 72- A total of 1331 officials including 324 presiding officers, 324 first polling officers, 359 second polling officers and 324 third polling officers will conduct the voting for all 324 booths of Lohardaga (ST) assembly constituency. There are 260 reserves. The Deputy Commissioner said that all Block Development Officers/Zonal Officers have been instructed to provide necessary facilities at the polling centers in their areas. Arrangements for accommodation, drinking water, electricity and toilets at polling stations/clusters have been made by the concerned AERO/BDO/CO. Webcasting is being done at all the polling stations, the control room of which has been made the VC room of the NIC room. Deputy Development Commissioner will be in primary charge of this. A special investigation campaign is being conducted by all the police station in-charges. Strict instructions have been given to follow the Model Code of Conduct, Bulk SMS/Voice SMS will not be used under any circumstances. Civil Surgeon has provided medical teams and essential medicines and medical kits in 324 polling stations of the assembly constituency.  The leaker monitoring team will remain active more intensively. Bank transactions are being strictly monitored. Intensive monitoring is being done in all marriage halls/community halls/guest houses/Dharamshala.

The Deputy Commissioner said that there are a total of 428 polling stations in the district, including 324 in 72-Lohardaga area and 104 in 69-Bishnupur (Ansh). The total voters are 3 lakh 75 thousand 06 in which the number of female voters is 1 lakh 90 thousand 345 and the number of male voters is 1 lakh 84 thousand 661. 72-The total voters in Lohardaga Assembly Constituency are 2 lakh 87 thousand 746 in which the number of female voters is 1. Lakh 46 thousand 308 and the number of male voters is 1 lakh 41 thousand 438. 69-The total voters in Bishunpur (Ansh) assembly constituency are 87 thousand 260, out of which the number of female voters is 44 thousand 37 and the number of male voters is 43 thousand 223.
