Large quantity of illegal foreign liquor, beer recovered

In view of the Assembly elections 2024, special patrolling and vehicle checking campaign was carried out at night as per the instructions of Superintendent of Police Palamu. Under this campaign, raids are being conducted against criminals and illegal activities.

During vehicle checking, a Bolero Mexi Truck, whose registration number is BR 01 GK-3228, was stopped near the middle school of Pandava, but the driver fled from the spot. On searching the vehicle, Royal Stag Whisky foreign liquor – 29 cartons, 12 bottles in each and 10 bottles in a carton, a total of 358 bottles, whose total quantity was 268.500 liters. "for sale in Uttar Pradesh only" was found marked on all the bottles.

Officers Choice original whisky foreign liquor - 68 cartons, each containing 48 tetra packs (180 ML), total 3264 pieces, with a total quantity of 587.52 liters. "for sale in Uttar Pradesh Only " was also marked on the tetra packs.

 The total foreign liquor recovered is 856.02 liters, which includes 268.500 liters of Royal StAG Whisky and 587.52 liters of Officers Choice original whisky.

This huge consignment of illegal liquor was caught during this intensive vehicle checking and raid, which will help in conducting the upcoming assembly elections safely and fairly. This action is being taken by Palamu Police to maintain law and order during the assembly elections.

Meanwhile, in another development Hariharganj police station conducted intensive vehicle checking and raids. During the raid, a large consignment of beer being illegally transported in a Bolero vehicle was recovered.

In this regard, a case has been registered under Hariharganj Police Station Case No. 141/2024 and due legal action is being taken.

Keeping in mind the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024, Palamu Police is continuously taking strict action against illegal activities to ensure security in the district. This campaign has been launched to prevent any kind of anti-social activity during the elections, so that the elections can be conducted in a fair and safe manner.
