Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the month of Shrawan has special significance in Indian culture. Keeping this in view, Rs 250 will be transferred in the month of Shravan to the account of each Ladli Behna on the upcoming date. This will be in addition to Rs 1250 released every month. He also called upon the ministers to celebrate Rakhi with Ladli Behnas in their respective areas. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the members of the State Cabinet ahead of the Cabinet meeting.
Yadav said that the people got a unique opportunity to connect with celebration of Guru Shishya Parampara through programmes organized by the School Education and Higher Education Department on Guru Purnima in honour of the Gurus at all educational institutions. He said that celebrating festivals has social purposes. The festival of Sankranti has been celebrated as sign of women empowerment and Gudi Padwa as Vikramotsav. In this sequence, the month of Shrawan will be celebrated as a festival of sisters. Such activities will uphold the tradition of celebrating festivals complying to India's culture.
Devotees visiting temples in Shravan
Yadav said that a large number of devotees visit temples in the month of Shravan. He asked the ministers to pay attention to devotees, law and order, and other arrangements in their respective areas. He urged the people to be alert about rising water levels in rivers and dams and stay in touch with the district administration.
Yadav congratulated the members for the success of the Regional Industry Conclave at Jabalpur. Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh said that Jabalpur Conclave has yielded positive results. Due to the positive discussions held with the investors, success has been achieved in creating a productive environment for industrial activities and investment in the Mahakaushal area and the state.
MP ranks first in country in pulses production
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while discussing the points related to Madhya Pradesh mentioned in the economic survey presented by Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, said that Madhya Pradesh is among the states moving rapidly in achieving the sustainable development goals in the year 2023-24. Madhya Pradesh has registered an increase of 15 points. In his statement, the Union Minister also mentioned two river interlinking projects related to Madhya Pradesh, the Ken-Betwa Link Project and the Kali Sindh-Chambal-Parvati Link Project. Madhya Pradesh ranks first in India in pulses production and is number two in the country in oilseeds production.
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is producing one-fourth volume of country's total pulses production. The state has one-fifth share in the oilseed production of the country. Madhya Pradesh is again in first place in soybean production. It is also the first in the production of gram and wheat. Madhya Pradesh ranks second in the country in total food grains production. It ranks third in the country in the production of maize, coarse grains, groundnuts, and peas. The farming community deserves commendations for these achievements. Under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, yield estimation based on technology was successfully tested in Madhya Pradesh. For this, the state has been praised by the Central Government.
Yadav said that to promote the textile industry, a mega project worth Rs 4 thousand 445 crore is proposed in Dhar district, one of the 7 PM Mitra Parks of the country. About 1 lakh local tribal youth will benefit from this. Madhya Pradesh has scored 6 out of 6 marks for facilitating the teaching-learning. Under the Single State Act, Madhya Pradesh has come fourth in the country in the number of Panchayat Co-operative Societies.
Madhya Pradesh ranks fifth in the country in cement production. Indore Bio CNG Plant has been mentioned as a case study in the Economic Survey. Bhavantar Bhugtan has been discussed as a farmer-friendly structure in the Economic Survey.
