Kshipra Tirth Parikrama will be organized on June 15 and 16

Kshipra Tirth Parikrama will be organized on June 15 and 16 in the holy city of Ujjain on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra festival.

A large number of devotees will participate in the Parikrama. It is noteworthy that as per the wish of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan is being run for water conservation across the state from 5th June to 16th June.

With this objective, for the last 20 to 22 years, a two-day Kshipra Tirtha Parikrama is organized from Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha Navami to Jyeshtha Shukla Paksha Dashami (Ganga Dussehra).In a meeting held at the Administrative Complex Bhawan on Saturday for the preparations of Ganga Dussehra festival, Ujjain Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh reviewed in detail. MLA Ujjain North Anil Jain Kaluheda, Municipal Corporation President Kalawati Yadav, Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Mrinal Meena, Additional Collector Anukul Jain, CEO Ujjain Development Authority Sandeep Soni, Additional Superintendent of Police Jayant Singh Rathore, Secretary of Kshipra Tirtha Parikrama Committee Naresh Sharma, members of the committee, district officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.

Apart from this, MP Balyogi Sant Umeshnath Maharaj, Director of Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Centre Shriram Tiwari also attended the meeting virtually. Collector Singh reviewed the preparations of the program and directed that the Municipal Corporation should get the main event venue Ramghat cleaned and beautified. There should be better lighting and attractive lighting arrangements at Ramghat.

Painting and artworks should also be done on the ghat. Similarly, water tankers should be installed on the Kshipra Tirtha route for drinking water by the Public Health Engineering Department. Which should move forward with the journey. Also install tankers of Sanchi water for cool drinking water.Preparation of Chunari Arpan should be done by Ujjain Urban Development Authority.

Collector Singh directed that the Yatra route should not be blocked. Engineers should inspect the route of the Yatra route. Necessary repair works should be completed soon. Collector Singh said that various social organizations associated with Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan should also be invited in the main program organized on June 16. Honor those who have done notable work in the direction of water conservation.

Director Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth Shriram Tiwari told about the format of the cultural event to be held in Ramghat, Dutt Akhara area on the evening of June 15 and 16 that various popular artists will present bhajans and devotional songs. The program will be organized by Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodh Peeth. On this occasion, a special booklet giving information about the importance of Kshipra river and its cultural splendor will also be released.

Sadaneera-centric audio video CD will also be released. It was told that satellite mapping of all major rivers including Maa Kshipra, water structures and traditional water sources (currently extinct) will be done and survey based documentation will be published with references of ancient literature, tradition. MP Balyogi Saint Umeshnath Maharaj said that Ganga Dussehra festival should be made a public campaign. This pious campaign started 20 years ago by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav should be organised successfully.

All government, non-government institutions, public representatives, dignitaries, sensible people, journalists should take a pledge to purify Maa Kshipra. MLA Anil Jain Kalukheda said that the public should be made aware of the pious objectives of the Ganga Dussehra festival campaign by spreading wide publicity.
