The Sawan and kitchen of the government residential schools like KGBAVs and JBAVs will be strictly vegetarian.
Non veg will be stopped totally. Entry of eggs, fish, chicken and mutton will be banned for 1 month.
The cooks have their own imposed discipline during this month-long holy festival.
DEO Durganand Jha said resident girls who would keep fasting will have fruits and sweets.
He said strict instructions have been given to the wardens to take care of the food of the girls in these residential schools.
