Kejriwal master of lies: BJP

Wednesday, 22 May 2024 | Staff Reporter | New Delhi

The BJP on Tuesday rejected Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement that only 500 people attended Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally here on Monday and said Kejriwal is a master of lies.

Lambasting the AAP convener, BJP’s South Delhi candidate Ramvir Singh Bidhuri said Kejriwal is as usual spreading lies. Bidhuri said that there were more than 50,000 people present at  Amit Shah's rally in Sangam Vihar, South Delhi, but Kejriwal, as usual, is trying to mislead the public by lying.  “Actually Kejriwal was shocked to see the people at Shah’s rally. AAP convener had never expected such crowds in the extreme heat temperature. His own protest went flopped at ITO,” he said.

Claiming that Kejriwal’s statement is completely baseless and false, Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva said “I challenge Arvind Kejriwal to come and watch the recording of yesterday's rally of Mr. Amit Shah to find out whether there were 500 people or 25,000.

Showing photographs of the rally, state BJP chief said Kejriwal is claiming that only 500 people attended the event when in fact thousands were present. He needs to change his political spectacles because there was indecent behavior with Swati Maliwal, a woman MP, in his house, but he neither showed her nor has he said anything about it so far.

The Delhi BJP President said the Aam Aadmi Party receives funding from abroad, and those who talk about breaking the countryside and stand with separatist elements of the country take political donations from them. Should we call those who join hands with the enemies of the country and take money from them patriots?

Sachdeva said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called the 140 crore people of the country his heirs, while on the other hand, there is Kejriwal, who has already chosen the path of jail in the scams done for himself.
