JPA addresses Issues with private schools

Wednesday, 29 May 2024 | PNS | BOKARO

In a bid to address ongoing issues with private schools, Mahendra Rai and Ajit Thakur of the Jharkhand Parent Association met with the District Education Officer today. The discussion focused on the forthcoming meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav which had been delayed due to election activities but is now expected to be scheduled after June 6. The education department has issued notices to all schools, demanding responses to various complaints.

Earlier, the Jharkhand Parent Association had lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner regarding the arbitrary practices of Chinmaya School. Consequently, the Deputy Commissioner Jadhav directed the education department to instruct Chinmaya School to refund INR 64,610 to parent Sanjit Kumar.

Mahendra Rai expressed gratitude to Bokaro Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav Rao for her intervention, stating that parents are hopeful this action will help curb the arbitrary practices of private schools.  During the meeting DEO Jagannath Lohra was also present.
