Jhilik Bhattacharjee, the actress-wife of Minister Pritiranjan Gharai, is interested to contest from the Korei Assembly constituency in Jajpur district.
Speculation of her contesting from the seat on a BJD ticket prevailed after Jhilik met several people of Korei on Thursday.
"I will contest from Korei if I am given opportunity by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik," said Jhilik.
Her husband has been nominated as BJD candidate again to fight from the Sukinda Assembly constituency in the district.
