Inter District police sports competition-2024 being held

Under the guidance of Deputy Inspector General of Police Indore (Rural) Range Indore Nimish Agrawal and under the leadership of Dhar Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Singh, a grand inauguration program of 60th Western Zone, Inter District Police Sports Competition-2024 was organized at DRP Line Dhar Sports Complex. From July 23 to 27, 2024, a total of 244 male and 30 female police players from 15 districts and 6 police units will perform in various sports competitions.

As per the instructions of Police Headquarters Bhopal, under the guidance of Inspector General of Police Indore (Rural) Zone Indore  Anurag, Deputy Inspector General of Police Indore (Rural) Range Indore  Nimish Agrawal and under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Dhar Manoj Kumar Singh, the inauguration ceremony of 60th Zone Level Western Zone Inter-District/Inter-Corps Sports Competition year-2024 was held today on 23.07.2024 at Police Line Dhar Sports Complex.

In which Deputy Inspector General of Police Indore (Rural) Range Indore Shri Nimish Agarwal was present as the chief guest. He was welcomed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Ajak)  Anand Tiwari by making him wear a cape, putting a badge and giving a bouquet, and also greeted with a band tune. In this competition, a total of 274 players from 15 districts of Western Zone and 6 other police units (like GRP Indore, Radio Indore, PTC Indore, Radio Training School Indore, PTC Ujjain, Police Fire Service Indore), which included 244 male and 30 female police players, marched past to the band tune by these teams.

Chief Guest Deputy Inspector General of Police Indore (Rural) Range Indore  Nimish Agarwal said in his address that team work is necessary to be successful in any sport, in the same way, crime can be controlled by successfully arresting criminals through team work in the police department. With this, the chief guest announced the start of the game by wishing all the players.

Dhar (host) team captain Subedar Rohit Nikam administered the oath of true sportsmanship to all the players. In the program, Jyoti Chauhan, an international women's football player from Sardarpur tehsil of Dhar district, was invited along with her family as a special guest on the stage for her international level achievement, who was honored by the chief guest Nimish Agarwal by presenting a memento. Later, a beautiful dance performance was given by the girls of Nupur Kala Mandir Dhar Shiksha Sansthan.

The game started with the 100 meter race of the women's category in which the first place was secured by District Indore (Traffic) Reserve Inspector  Radha Yadav, who was honored by the chief guest with a medal.

The above games will be held from 23 July 2024 to 27 July 2024 at the sports ground of DRP Line Dhar and Sports Authority of India Complex (S.A.I.), which will include hockey, volleyball, kabaddi, basketball, weight lifting. There will be competitions like boxing, javelin throw, shotput, hammer throw, high jump, handball, football, athletics, power lifting, wrestling, log jump, cross-country etc.
