Immediate treatment saves lives of bus passengers

The Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department at AIIMS Bhopal promptly provided life-saving treatment to 13 bus passengers injured in a late-night accident on July 11. The passengers, who were on a bus traveling to Bareilly, were brought to the hospital around midnight following a severe accident that caused the bus to overturn. Thanks to the swift and efficient action of the medical team, all patients are now out of danger.

Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Professor (Dr.) Ajai Singh, extended his congratulations to the entire Trauma and Emergency Medicine team for their quick response and effective management of the situation. The head of the department, Dr. Yunus, immediately mobilized the team upon learning of the incident. Within just 10 minutes, the entire team was present at the hospital, ready to handle the emergency.

The 13 injured passengers included four women and nine men, with most sustaining head injuries along with injuries to their hands, shoulders, and legs. Six patients were discharged after receiving first aid, while seven remain admitted, including two with serious head and facial injuries.
