IG Indore pushes for effective crime control in Barwani

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Indore Zone (Rural), Anurag, chaired the annual crime review meeting during his visit to Barwani district. Superintendent of Police (SP) Barwani, Jagdish Dawar, and Additional SP Anil Patidar welcomed him with a bouquet.

The meeting, held at the SP office auditorium, was attended by all gazetted officers, station in-charges, outpost in-charges, and other district police officials.

At the outset, IGP Anurag interacted with the officers and received an introduction to their respective roles. SP Jagdish Dawar presented a detailed report on the geographical layout of Barwani and provided insights into the district's current crime statistics.

During the meeting, IGP Anurag reviewed pending cases and issued specific instructions to the police personnel. Key directives included:

Timely Resolution of Cases: Expedited resolution of pending crimes, challans, and SC/ST cases.

Seized Property Disposal: Swift disposal of confiscated goods.

Action Against Offenders: Stringent measures against habitual offenders and maximum binding orders under Section 122 CrPC/141 BNSS.

Curbing Vehicle Theft: Enhanced monitoring using CCTV cameras to prevent vehicle thefts.

Targeting Rewarded Criminals: Prioritizing the arrest of criminals with bounties on their heads.

Focus on Property Crimes: A special drive against theft, burglary, and vehicle theft gangs.

Arms Act and Drug Enforcement: Strict action against illegal arms and narcotics.

Vigilance Against Cybercrime: Prompt updating of online fraud complaints on the NCRB portal.

Surprise Inspections: SDOPs to regularly inspect police stations, lock-ups, and maintain proper records.

Kidnapping Cases: Accelerated recovery of missing persons under Section 363 IPC/137(2) BNS.

IGP Anurag also emphasized resolving CM Helpline complaints and ensuring public grievances are addressed promptly. He urged officers to focus on “basic policing” while maintaining sensitivity and commitment to upholding law and order.

SP Jagdish Dawar highlighted the achievements of Barwani Police, earning appreciation from IGP Anurag. The IGP encouraged all officers to work collaboratively for a safer and crime-free district.

Additional SP Anil Patidar and the entire district police force participated in the session, concluding with a call for collective efforts in better policing.
