After paying floral tribute to India’s first Home Minister and Iron Man of the Nation, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday administered the oath of ‘Rashtriya Ekta’ to the officers and the employees. Saini urged civil servants to commit themselves to the values of unity, service. He encouraged them to work tirelessly to meet the needs and aspirations of the people of Haryana. To mark the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge’ taking ceremony was organised at Haryana Civil Secretariat.
Addressing the officers and employees during the ceremony, Saini encouraged all the civil servants to renew their pledge on ‘Ekta Diwas’ to work diligently in service to the people of the State, fulfilling their expectations and moving the state forward.
Saini highlighted the pivotal role Sardar Patel played in creating a unified India and said that his diplomatic acumen and vision were instrumental in uniting the states and binding them in the fabric of national unity.
Meanwhile, acknowledging the sacrifices of freedom fighters, Saini also shared about the struggles endured by many bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifices during British rule to preserve the integrity and unity of the country.
