While addressing a public meeting in Jamtara, Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Jharkhand assembly election co- incharge and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that this time the election is for the protection of roti- beti- mati.
Fiercely targeting the JMM- Congress- RJD regarding the statement given against Sita Soren, Sarma said that people like Irfan Ansari do not respect women.
Sarma said that if our society remains united, will people like Irfan Ansari be able to win the election. Our society gets divided, but this time we will not divide. If we remain united, Irfan Ansari will never win the election from here. If we remain united, no one will dare to stop the Ram Navami procession. Sarma once again repeated the slogan ‘Ek rahenge to Safe rahenge’ (If we remain united, we will be safe).
Sarma said that those who vote for Irfan Ansari, if tomorrow your daughter is kidnapped, they will not help you. Before voting for Irfan Ansari, think that we too have a daughter in our house. Sarma also said that if you remain united, Irfan Ansari and Alamgir Alam cannot harm us.
Sarma said that this time the election in Jamtara is between Sita Soren and Irfan Ansari and that this election is a fight for our identity. In areas like Pakur, Sahibganj and Jamtara, schools are closed on Fridays because Namaz is offered on that day. “I would like to ask that the Constitution of our India was made by Hindu people so schools should also be closed on Tuesdays for us, so that we will also worship Hanumanji.”
Sarma said that Alamgir Alam and Irfan Ansari are trying to run Jharkhand according to their own wishes. He said that I had read that a Namaaz room was made in the assembly. Our people protested so it could not happen but the government had proposed that arrangements should be made for Namaaz in the Jharkhand assembly.
Sarma also said that arrangements should also be made for Hanuman Chalisa. Today Ramnavami procession is not allowed, permission is not given for immersion of idols in Durga Maa temple. But the procession of Muharram has never been stopped. Sarma said that we have no objection to the procession of Muharram, but Ramnavami procession will also be taken out.
Sarm said that during the rule of Aurangzeb and Babar has also been seen and no one obstructed the procession of Ramnavami, but Irfan Ansari and Alamgir Alam have fallen even lower than Aurangzeb and Babar.
