Govt to provide honorarium to women from 21-50 years to age

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the state government has decided to give Samman Rashi (Honorarium) to women between 21 and 50 years of age. For this, special camps will be set up across the state very soon to take applications from the beneficiaries. We are working with the resolve to empower the women of the state, he said.

The CM was addressing the inauguration-foundation stone laying and asset distribution ceremony among the beneficiaries organized at Rajmahal in Sahibganj district today.

On this occasion, the CM inaugurated-laid the foundation stone of 34 development schemes worth about 88 crore 84 lakhs. This includes the foundation stone laying of 31 schemes worth about 86 crore 80 lakhs and the inauguration of three schemes. At the same time, in the programs organized at Rajmahal and Barhet, assets worth more than 38 crore 80 lakh rupees were distributed among 10 thousand 141 beneficiaries with the aim of empowering them.

The CM said that there are immense possibilities of development in the state of Jharkhand. Our government has added many dimensions in this direction and work is being done to add many new dimensions. The welfare schemes of the government are reaching the people. We are moving forward with full strength towards strengthening the infrastructure. He assured the public that the process of improving and moving the state forward will continue. On this occasion, the CM congratulated the people of the state on the commencement of Shravani month and the first Monday.

The CM said that work should not be done just for show but people should get its benefits for a long time. Our government is making plans with this thought. Our schemes are to empower you and your future generations. He said that only when the people of the state are empowered, our society and state will progress.

The CM said that our government is fully committed to the all-round development of the state. Every section and class of the society is getting the benefit of the schemes and policies that our government is making. With the cooperation of all of you, we will make this state so strong that we will not need to depend on anyone.

The CM said that even today there are many problems in our state. We are going through many challenges. But, we are continuously working to solve all these problems as soon as possible. He asked the people to make collective efforts to get rid of the problems.

The CM said that the Rajmahal area has a different identity in many ways. Apart from being a historical and religious area, there are immense possibilities of tourism here. This is the only area of Jharkhand through which the river Ganga passes. Various commercial activities have been going on here for a long time. All the resources here are being used by someone else while this area and its people are still very backward. This area is still suffering from many problems. Our government is continuously trying to solve these problems. Work is being done to stop the erosion of the Ganga. We are trying to bring ease in transportation. A plan to build an airstrip and ropeway in the Rajmahal area is being considered, so that it can get a different identity in terms of tourism.

Many officials including Rajmahal MP Vijay Kumar Hansda, MLA Anant Ojha, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police of the district were present in this program.
